With #Unlock 5.0, India has further eased #COVID-19 restrictions outside #containment zones. The relaxations have been issued for the opening up of more activities in areas outside the containment zones. The government has allowed states and UTs to take a call on opening of schools in a graded manner after Oct 15. But students will be given the option of attending online rather than physical classes, if they prefer. Schools must not force attendance and that the final decision must entirely depend on parental consent. Theatres and multiplexes can resume functioning with a 50% seating capacity after Oct 15. Swimming pools can be used from the same date but only for training of sportspersons. Social, academic, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious, and political functions can be held after October 15 with a ceiling of 200 persons in closed spaces, subject to maximum 50% of the hall capacity. No changes have been made in air and train travel. There shall be nor restriction on inter-state and intra-state movement of persons and goods. No separate permission/ e-permit/ approval shall be required for such movements. Entertain parks and similar places will remain closed. #Lockdown shall continue to be implemented strictly in the containment zones till Oct 31st. Only essential activities will be allowed in these zones. The Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday issued new guidelines for 'Unlock 3' for opening up of more activities in areas outside of the containment zones. Unlock 3 will come into effect from August 1. - Restrictions on movement of individuals during night (Night curfew) have been removed. - Yoga institutes and gymnasiums will be allowed to open from August 5, 2020, with social distancing. - Independence Day functions will be allowed with social distancing, and other safety protocols. - Schools, colleges and coaching institutions will remain closed till August 31, 2020. - International air travel of passengers has been permitted in a limited manner under the Vande Bharat mission. Further opening-up will take place in a calibrated manner. What's Not Permitted: All activities, except the following, shall be permitted outside containment zones: - Metro Rail - Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places. - Social/ political/ sports/ entertainment/ academic/ cultural/ religious functions and other large congregations.
